Classy classics to the US

Proteus is a British company that has been around for just over 20 years, their claim to fame being the building of old classics, legendary cars in their own right. Having now been taken over by Enduro Cars means the beautiful cars will be coming to the USA.
How about a Jaguar XK120C with a full aluminium body for the measly price of $133 000? Measly in comparison to what an original would cost, at least, and that original comes with the mechanical troubles you are bound to get with an old Jaguar. The Proteus reproductions, on the other hand, have all modern parts on the inside. Admittedly, modern British mechanicals still can’t quite compare to Japanese or German, but that’s another story.
Other replicas will also be available: three more Jags, including the awesome D-type; the Aston Martin DB3S; and the racing version of the epitome of classic cars, in my humble opinion, the Mercedes-Benz 300SL, namely the 300SLR.
“If I were a rich man…”
Actually, if I were a rich man, I would probably go for the originals. The definition of “rich” being “exceptionally rich”.
