Last McMerc SLR Roadster up for grabs
If you haven’t yet bought yourself a brand spanking new SLR Roadster, your last chance is coming up. That is, if your bank hasn’t frozen your assets by now, or altogether shut down operations. If it hasn’t, then you can make your bid when the very last Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster to come off the line is auctioned off on November 20th.
This SLR stands out in more ways than just being the end of an era with mixed reviews, which makes it desirable enough in itself. It will be the only SLR to be coated with Sienna Pearl metallic paint and will sport Tobacco Brown leather upholstery. Also, the brakes will be accented with gold brake calipers. And you thought the Germans weren’t creative.
More details after the jump.
Just to recap the not entirely unimpressive supercar numbers, the Mercedes McLaren can boast a supercharged V8 with punching out 617 hp, taking your one-of-a-kind luxury car above 330 km/h (206 mph). From zero to a hundred you’ll just about have time to read this sentence. At least if that didn’t take you more than 3.8 seconds.*

The supercar auction is due to begin at 1 PM EST November 20th and closes four hours later, at 5 PM. The starting bid for this Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster is US$529,500. Any proceeds above that will go, in its entirety as it seems, to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
